Go middle of the week. ?Take the train it saves on time and parking money.Here is my story about buying my engagement ring:After doing a bunch of basic research on diamonds, and figuring out what I want to spend I decided to check out a couple different places: Golden State (which my family has gone to before), Icing on the Ring (recommended by a friend), and the top yelped reviewed place (which the name escapes me). ?I went to Golden State on a Saturday first, and told him I want about this size, and want to spend this much. ?He laid out my options of a couple of great stones. ?After some negotiations we decided on a price that was cash out the door. ?So I decided to do some comparison shopping at Icing on the Ring down the street. ?They were super professional, and explained all the details (which Golden State didn’t do) and showed me a couple of stones, which ended up being a little be out of my price range. So decided to go for the original ring at Golden State, but I had to come back mid week. I took off mid week with my fiances best friend to make the final decision and to pick up the ring. I did a little yelp searching beforehand and wanted to check out the best reviewed Downtown Los Angeles engagement ring store. ?We went there first and found a great diamond that was a little bit better quality for a little bit more money. ?So we went back to Golden State and told them what we found and they found something better for the original price of the lesser quality stone. ?It was great of them to really work for my business. Going on a weekday frees up time for them to really work for you and find some great stones. I felt like I got the best deal I could and went home happy. ?P.S. She said yes in Hawaii!

Blue Nile had nothing on these folks. ?My center stone is as precious as they get. ?Blue Nile was several thousand dollars more. ?Any local jewelry store was at least double the price. ?Not only was the custom setting set with higher quality companion diamonds, it also was made in under 2 weeks. ?They did not rush me. ?But they were prepared to get it done once I made my decision. ?Friendliness. ?There is a woman there named Rita. ?She excels at sincere and quality service – before this, ?I have never found a jewelry person that I did not see greed and lies behind their eyes. ?I can not wait to show her my girl wearing the ring. ?Just waiting for a the right occasion to propose…
I have been coming to Golden State Jewelry for over 10 years, and have recommended them to many people. ?They are the only jewelry store I go to and a definite 5 because they stand behind what they sell and treat my family and friends with the utmost respect whether we are window shopping or buying on a given day.They are very professional and explain all the details; you just need to ask them. ?I originally took my fianc��s (now wife of ten years) to look at the options for her ring. They spent all the time we needed to find the right stones and design the ring of her choice. ?Recently we were there to have a piece of jewelry repaired; they took the time to show my wife several things that she might be interested in. ?Great for me, now I have several choices for this holiday season and there was no pressure to make a decision that day.You won’t be disappointed in doing business here.
I came here to get my wife her engagement ring in white gold with diamonds and these people messed it up again, and again Silver Jewelry, and again! ?THESE PEOPLE SUCK. ?When the first ring was finally ready (the ring i proposed with) it was 1 size bigger than it was supposed to be (i ordered a size 7 and they made an 8), so when we went back to get it resized (the ring obviously didn’t fit my wife’s hand), the second ring was still an 8 with SMALLER DIAMONDS!!!! ?You won’t believe this one, for the third ring, they finally got the size 7 but then SHAVED THE EDGES DOWN TO RESEAL THE RING TO THE RIGHT SIZE so that some of the (now smaller) diamonds were bulging off the setting!!!!! ?They made my wife (then fiance) cry more than 4 times, and twice at their own store. ?We eventually just kept the original big setting and pawned it off to a jewelry buyer for the scraps. ?When we went to Robbins Bros (where we bought her final setting) they even told us that these people just welded the top of the ring (the part that holds the diamonds) to the band and that it was very poor construction, saying that the ring top (with the main diamond) could have easily been ripped off with the least bit of trauma. ?I HATE THESE PEOPLE FOR MAKING MY WIFE CRY AND PUTTING US THROUGH ALL THE STUFF THEY DID. ?DO NOT SHOP HERE.
